"The State shall not deny to any person equality before the law or the equal protection of the laws within the territory of India."

"राज्य, भारत के राज्यक्षेत्र में किसी व्यक्ति को विधि के समक्ष समता से या विधियों के समान संरक्षण से वंचित नहीं करेगा।"
What it means — Simply
(सरल भाषा में)Whether rich or poor, powerful or ordinary — the law applies equally to everyone. No person, not even the President, is above the law.
चाहे अमीर हो या गरीब, ताकतवर हो या आम नागरिक — कानून सबके लिए एक समान है। राष्ट्रपति भी कानून से ऊपर नहीं है।

Situation
You and a government minister both jump a red light. The same fine must apply to both of you — Article 14 prohibits differential treatment.
